Kristen Rees is a leader passionate about fostering positive, sustainable change and improvement for organizations, teams, and individuals. Her career spans healthcare, education, and volunteerism, with expertise in building new programs, facilitating difficult conversations, and leading effective teams. Kristen believes that while change is inevitable, improvement is not—and she leads with this mindset.
In addition to her role as a rural healthcare district administrative team member, Kristen serves as a founding board member and director of Her Mighty Hands, a nonprofit organization focused on combating inequity and food insecurity in Africa and beyond. She also volunteers as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) for abused foster youth, dedicating time weekly to supporting and representing the child assigned to her in court.
Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in Paramedicine from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a master’s degree in Public Health from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and is a graduate of the National Rural Health Association’s Rural Health CEO Certification program.
